Business Continuity Manager

This role does not involve direct people management.
What you'll do- Developing and Maintaining Business Continuity Plans (BCP)- Identifying critical and/or important business functions and processes- Conducting business impact assessments (BIAs) to assess the potential impact of disruptions at an enterprise level- Developing and documenting recovery strategies and procedures- Ensuring BCPs align with industry standards (e.g., OSFI, ISO 22301, Internal Business Standard)- Identifying potential risks to business operations (e.g., natural disasters, cyberattacks)- Evaluating and reporting the likelihood and impact of these risks- Developing mitigation and recovery plans- Conducting regular testing and exercises to validate BCP efficiency, simulating various disruption scenarios- Supporting the crisis management team as needed
What you'll bring- Certifications such as the Business Continuity Certified Professional (CBCP) or Business Continuity Certified Planner (BCCP)- Strong understanding of Canadian Regulations specifically including OSFI E-21, B-10 and B-13- 5+ years hands on experience BCP development from an enterprise level- Risk management, disaster recovery, or crisis management is an asset- Strong analytical, problem-solving, influential and interpersonal skills are essential- Excellent communication and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to engage with senior leadership and stakeholders
