**Maintenance Lead Hand**
Day Shift - 4 x 10 Hour Shifts Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm

Evening/Weekends/On Call when needed
Starting hourly pay dependent on qualifications
All necessary training will be provided.

**Position Summary**:
The Maintenance Lead Hand is responsible for supervising and coordinating the activities of the maintenance team. This role ensures that all machinery and equipment are running efficiently and safely. You will lead a team of maintenance personnel, ensure scheduled preventative maintenance is completed, troubleshoot and repair machinery, and work to minimize downtime in production.

**Duties include but are not limited to**:

- Supervise and lead the maintenance team, including scheduling shifts, assigning tasks, and overseeing performance.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery, tools, and equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues, and coordinate or perform repairs as needed.
- Ensure equipment is operating safely and efficiently to minimize downtime.
- Work closely with production teams to identify areas for improvement and equipment needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain records of repairs, maintenance tasks, and equipment performance.
- Monitor inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring that supplies are available as needed.
- Participate in and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Train and mentor maintenance team members.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience in a maintenance role in a manufacturing or industrial environment, with leadership experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulations in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex equipment issues.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proficiency with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is an asset.
- Welding skills considered to be an asset
- Team player
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to lift 50lbs

**Education/Certifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in a relevant field is preferred.
- Certification in millwrighting, electrical, or other related trade is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license.
