We also offer educational support, profit sharing and participation in our recognition and annual salary review program. **Opportunity Summary** Reporting to the Director of Field Operations, as the Superintendent, Special Projects, you will collaborate and lead teams to execute and deliver quality projects on time and on budget. You will be responsible for providing overall supervision, coordination, and scheduling of construction activities. This position may require you to travel to and supervise multiple sites at once across the City of Vancouver. **Key Responsibilities** - On site supervision and coordination of trades for a variety of projects across the City of Vancouver. - With a collaborate style, coordinate and supervise all construction activities on site. - Ensure project is constructed according to drawings, specifications, project schedule and budget. - Partner with management team, including the Project Manager and subcontractors to maintain construction schedule and identify/resolve problems as necessary and in a timely manner. - Maintain construction schedule and identify/resolve problems as necessary and in a timely manner. - Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including community. - Develop recovery strategies when project schedule or budgets are in jeopardy. - Establish and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders. - Review and update schedule, cost forecast and cash flow with Project Manager. - Maintain appropriate field documentation including safety, progress reports, rental records, logs etc. - Provide leadership to peers ensuring all site staff are adhering to the company safety culture. - Organize weekly subcontractor meetings. - Supervise, mentor, coach, and train project personnel. - Model the Company Values. **Scott Construction Values** - **People First |** _When we take care of people, we take care of Scott, our Industry, and our communities._ - **Safety Always |** _We owe it to each other to get home safely._ - **Seek Better Ways |** _Innovation and development fuels growth._ - **Get It Done |** _Find a solution, take the initiative, and deliver on every commitment._ - **Have Fun |** _Enjoy what you do._ - **Own It |** _Be accountable and take pride in each day’s work._ **Qualifications** - At least 5+ years previous experience working on residential, institutional, or commercial projects up to $10 million. - Exterior or Building Envelope experience considered an asset. - Technical diploma or equivalent combination of technical training and experience. - Strong relationship and team building skills with proven integrity dealing with Clients, Trades and Consultants. - Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction such as technology, equipment, methods, trade agreements and jurisdiction, engineering, cost control, drawings, specifications, procedures, scheduling, and safety requirements. - Proven creative problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication skills, including the ability to successfully translate technical information to non-technical individuals. - Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook with Procore.
