We also offer educational support, profit sharing and participation in our recognition and annual salary reviews program. **Opportunity Summary** As Superintendent, Special Projects reporting to the Director, Field Operations, you will collaborate and lead the team to execute and deliver quality projects on time and on budget. With having at least 5 plus years of experience, you have efficiently managed residential, institutional, and commercial projects with a spend of up to $15 million plus. The Superintendent will be responsible for providing overall supervision, coordination, and scheduling of construction activities. **Key Responsibilities** - On site supervision and coordination of trades - With a collaborate style, coordinate and supervise all construction activities on site - Ensure project is constructed according to drawings, specifications, project schedule and budget - Partner with management team, including the Project Manager and subcontractors to maintain construction schedule and identify/resolve problems as necessary and in a timely manner - Maintain construction schedule and identify/resolve problems as necessary and in a timely manner - Establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including community - Models and communicates safety requirements to all on site - Develop recovery strategies when project schedule or budgets are in jeopardy - Establish and maintain positive relationships with all internal and external stakeholders - Review and update schedule, cost forecast and cash flow with Project Manager - Maintain appropriate field documentation including safety, progress reports, rental records, logs etc. - Provide leadership to peers ensuring all site staff are adhering to the company safety culture - Organize weekly subcontractor meetings - Supervise, mentor, coach, and train project personnel - Model the Company Values **Scott Construction Values** - **People First |** _When we take care of people, we take care of Scott, our Industry, and our communities._ - **Safety Always |** _We owe it to each other to get home safely._ - **Seek Better Ways |** _Innovation and development fuels growth._ - **Get It Done |** _Find a solution, take the initiative, and deliver on every commitment._ - **Have Fun |** _Enjoy what you do._ - **Own It |** _Be accountable and take pride in each day’s work._ **Qualifications** - At least 5+ years previous experience working on residential, institutional, and commercial envelope upgrade projects with a spend of $30 million - Technical diploma or equivalent combination of technical training and experience - Excellent relationship building skills with strong focus on client relationship - Thorough knowledge of all aspects of construction such as technology, equipment, methods, trade agreements and jurisdiction, engineering, cost control, drawings, specifications, procedures, scheduling, and safety requirements - Proven creative problem-solving skills - Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook with Procore an asset - Excellent communication skills, including the ability to successfully translate technical information to non-technical individuals - Strong relationship and team building skills with proven integrity dealing with Clients, Trades and Consultants For further information, visit our web-site or our LinkedIn profile.
