**The opportunity**

Altus is seeking a Bilingual Analyst to join our Cost Consulting practice in our growing Montreal office. As our new Analyst, you will play a vital role in new building construction projects, assisting senior staff in the preparation of cost tracking reports and estimates in English and French. We work on some of the largest projects in Montreal, offering a depth and breadth of services that lead to exciting career paths.

**Who you are**

You may be a new grad with a degree or diploma in Engineering or Technology, or, you may be a more experienced Engineer starting your career in Canada. You are looking for an opportunity to gain on-the-job training and work towards further accreditation.

**What you will focus on**:

- **_Analysis and cost estimation. _**You will, under the supervision of a senior consultant, review designs and budgets to provide internal and external customer-facing services including:

- Production of measurements.
- Preparation of cost estimates according to the progress of the plans.
- Construction loan supervision.
- Preparation of written reports in French and English.
- **_Site visits. _**You will conduct site visits and create progress reports. You will analyze the progress of the work and obtain appropriate Health & Safety requirements to complete construction site inspection in the Province of Quebec (ASP Certification).

**Our new Bilingual Analyst has**:

- **_The recognized certification. _**You have a degree or diploma in Engineering or Technology, combined with a background in construction, building technology, or civil engineering. Project Management courses are an asset. You are currently pursuing certification as an RICS, AEECQ, ICEC, or LEED member. You have certification - or equivalent experience - in Construction Economics, Estimates, or Building Management. You hold an ASP construction card and a valid driver's license.
- **_The knowledge. _**You have practical experience preparing reports and estimates using the most common estimation methods (MasterFormat, Uniformat, and ICEC). You can analyze timelines and plans and specifications at all stages of a project. You have an understanding of general construction methods, materials, standard practices, and health and safety standards on construction sites.
- **_The technical skills. _**You are comfortable using MS Word, Excel, Project, SharePoint, and Cost X, Estate Master.
- **_The relationship-building skills. _**You have exceptional French and English written and verbal communication skills. You are a collaborative team member, who can build strong relationships both internally across the organization as well as externally with customers.
