**JOB DESCRIPTION**
- Display a high level of servant leadership.
- Identify and remove obstacles that are in the way of team success.
- Multi-site responsibility to plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, review, and participate in the work of staff responsible for all FSQA activities.
- Coordinate projects with a cross-functional team, as necessary.
- Drive overall success of the FSQA and SMC initiatives.

**KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Review current, develop new and implement SOPs based on regulatory guidance and company policies.
- Manage the review and updates to the Food Safety Plan and QMS.
- Review opportunities for continuous improvement in all areas for food safety or productivity gains and drive change.
- Lead the team through root cause investigations (RCIs) including corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs), implementation and the efficacy of CAPAs.
- Conduct routine inspections of the process equipment, building and grounds (both internal and external) for compliance with CFIA and GFSI audit schemes.
- Generate written reports and formal communications to ensure that work requests are satisfactorily completed on time.
- Develop the FSQA Team with both internal and external training to keep the team up to date on industry best practices and maintain the required trainings for regulatory requirements.
- Ensure that all employees are trained in regard to food safety topics (e.g. Personnel practices, good agricultural/manufacturing practices, allergen management, food fraud and food defense, and critical control points) and maintain an up-to-date training matrix.
- Research, prepare cost estimates and business justification for projects and repairs, tools/equipment purchases, and the modification of equipment/buildings.
- Maintain records of KPI, such as Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) completion rates, pre-operational pass rate and environmental pass rate.
- Responsible for the proper administration of accountability for personnel for attendance, code of conduct, and performance related issues.
- Build and develop a highly effective and engaged team that strives to provide exceptional internal customer service.
- Responsible to mentor, develop, and coach all levels of the FSQA department.
- Responsible to develop/mentor the senior leadership of the team by establishing processes, procedures, and guidelines for the team to always leverage.
- Responsible for the professional development of the leadership team.
