**Who we are**:
**What you’ll do**:
The Produce Manager is responsible for leading the produce department with day-to-day behaviours and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-op’s vision, mission, values, brand and focus on safety. Setting clear, attainable, and measurable goals for direct reports, while providing solid coaching and feedback to ensure goals and targets are met. This multi-task position requires experience in retail, high standards in merchandising and customer service, and the ability to organize and delegate.

**You will**:

- Develop business strategies that support our retail goals and guiding statements.
- Organize, direct and co-ordinate the operations of the grocery department while achieving budgeted goals.
- Provide superior leadership through coaching, development, management of performance, and feedback to Team Members
- Drive for continuous improvement in all aspects of the team and operations.
- Ensure that company policies, best practices, training courses, and certifications are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Lead a culture of safety through coaching, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Communicate with key stakeholders both in the organization and community.
- Other duties as required.

**Who you are**:(below are benefits but not necessarily required)

You are looking for the opportunity to provide leadership in a dynamic retail environment.
- You have 5+ years of experience in the retail industry.
- You have knowledge of commodity sales, gross margin, and inventory management. Related experience in the Co-operative Retailing System would be considered an asset.
- You are an individual with strong communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as excellent organizational skills.
- You possess effective leadership skills with a strong focus on team member engagement.
- You come to work with an enthusiastic and positive approach.
- You’re honest, respectful, and service oriented.
