**Responsibilities**:

- Develops and implements a variety of programming that maximizes resident participation and promotes adult-Montessori and Restorative Care concepts in accordance with individual Care Plans
- Develops and implements individualized assessments for residents and incorporates individual needs into general programming
- Develops and implements relevant sections of resident Care Plans, including the development of specialized programming for residents with dementia
- Provides ongoing coaching and performance management of Life Enrichment staff, assisting in recruitment and training as needed
- Maintain and promote good relationships with resident family members, including seeking opportunities to include families in events
- Maintains and promotes good communication with staff from all departments in order to optimize service delivery to residents and ensure the efficient use of resources
- Participate in special projects as needed
- Must be available to work various shifts, including evenings, holidays and weekends

**Qualifications**
- Post-secondary education with a degree/diploma in Recreational/Leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, or Kinesiology, or the equivalent as specified by the MOHLTC regulations
- Education or experience working with older adults and the cognitively challenged is an asset
- Two years experience working in Long Term Care setting or with older adults with Dementia strongly preferred
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills are essential
