**General summary**

The Health and Safety Advisor acts as an expert in the management of workers compensation files.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Performs workers' compensation case management;
- Produce requests for medical expertise and various requests to the

CNESST;
- Participate in accident investigations;
- Communicate to managers the relevant information related to the management of employees light duties;
- Ensure the smooth running of files at the various levels of dispute;
- Prepare cost sharing requests to be submitted to the CNESST;
- Produce data and reports related to their field of expertise;
- Monitor the financial progress of files on a monthly basis and make strategic decisions to control costs;
- Support colleagues in the area of prevention of incidents;
- Tend to various health and safety committee tasks;
- Carry out all other tasks and responsibilities assigned by management.

**Job requirements and key competencies**
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Relations or Human Resources or equivalent;
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in claims management;
- Bilingualism (oral and written) required;
- Thorough knowledge of occupational health and safety laws and regulations;
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- Ability to priorize;
- Good analytical and problem solving skills;
