**Role summary**:
This person will report directly to the Sr Manager, Operations and provides procurement support to our business operations, coordinates and tracks both outbound and inbound shipments, and assists with coordination of visitors to our Simmonds Drive location in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. In the role of Logistics & Buyer Coordinator, you will be joining a world-class Operations team that is delivering innovative solutions to tough problems.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Source and purchase procurement requests.
- Create purchase orders and procurement requests.
- Determine method of shipment, arrange for shipping, prepare shipping documents such as bills of lading, customs forms, invoices manually or by computer, and assist clients in shipping to our company.
- Affix identifying information on packaging and track shipments until delivery.
- Update customer files with shipping information.
- Reconcile credit card purchases.
- Review specific financial data to ensure purchase transaction completion within the ERP system.
- Create process documentation as it relates to Operations.
- Assist with coordination of food services for team events, office snacks, and beverages.
- Assisting with new hires specifically relating to coding new key fobs and creating security codes.
- Managing the office entry including answering, screening, and directing phone calls.
- Other duties as assigned.
**You are**:
- A graduate with a post-secondary degree or diploma in a business-related field.
- A minimum of 1 year experience with sourcing materials in a manufacturing environment, procurement and logistics processing in an ERP system, writing process documentation, and international shipping regulations.
- Well organized and invested in the details.
- Action-oriented.
- Passionate about continuous improvement.
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Willing to go the extra mile to get the job done and satisfy customers/stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365.
**Extra awesome if you also have**:
- More than 2 years of experience with sourcing in a manufacturing environment in HRM.
- More than 2 years of experience managing international inbound and outbound freight.
- Transportation of dangerous goods certification.
