Kennel Room Staff

**Job Duties**:

- Daily cleaning of all kennels, runs, litter pans, food dishes and blankets/bedding.
- Feeding and providing fresh water to all boarded animals.
- Thorough top to bottom clean of kennels in between new occupants. This includes spraying down kennel walls and floor using designated disinfectant and ensuring kennels are dry and ready for the next animal.
- Garbage removal as required. (At least once daily at the end of shift)
- Responsible for taking dogs outside for exercise and to urinate/defecate.
- Regular checks of all animals and promptly report anything unusual to the technician or doctor on duty.
- Regular checks of all water/food dishes, replenishing water/food as required.
- Ensure bedding is clean and dry as required.
- Responsible for daily cleaning of all kennel floors, hallways, and laundry area.
- Regular checks on supplies such as food, litter, and miscellaneous items and notifying the appropriate person to re-order.
- Stock treatment room syringes/needles/catheters as needed throughout the day
- Daily laundry duties, dishes, and putting away accordingly.
- Cleaning/disinfecting of dog and cat carriers when necessary.
- Recording and ensuring all personal items stay and are only used on the appropriate animal.
- Ensure that all kennel wing exit doors are locked at shift end and lights are turned off.
- Perform or help with other duties assigned by doctors, technicians or management.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour
