Job Summary

As a key member of Sagen’s Sales leadership team, the VP, Regional Sales primary goal is to drive sustainable competitive advantage through the leadership and strategic direction of our regional sales team across the country. The role will develop strategies that will drive prudent market share growth (within our risk appetite), leverage analytics and market intelligence to help develop and implement innovative ideas, concepts and collaborative approaches to drive an exceptional customer experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- As a key deliverable of Sagen’s strategic plan, ensure the Regional Sales team achieves growth targets and delivers outstanding customer service.
- Coach and mentor the Regional VPs across the country to ensure effective leadership is being delivered to the Account Managers to drive success.
- Provide strategic and tactical management, set direction and motivate Regional Sales teams to drive prudent top line, profitable growth.
- Collaborate with the Business Development Leaders to ensure consistency between national and regional initiatives
- Work with the Risk and Underwriting leadership to ensure teams are aligned around customer needs while balancing the current risk appetite.
- Be the “Voice of the Customer” - work closely with all departments to continually assess the market to identify current and/or future customer needs and requirements.
- Effectively collaborate with the VP, Marketing & Communications to ensure training needs of both the sales team and the customers are being met
- For the Credit Union segment, responsible for the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies aimed at growing market share
- Actively participate in complex cross functional projects to enhance the customer experience and strengthen our overall business capabilities.
- Manage expense budgets for maximum return

Skills and Qualifications
- 10 + years of leadership experience in the mortgage lending industry.
- University degree.
- Demonstrated experience in; strategic sales management, with a proven track record of delivering top line results.
- Extensive experience leading a large sales team.
- Superior relationship management skills with the proven ability to effectively influence Regional sales team, customers, internal stakeholders, and leaders in the mortgage industry.
- In-depth understanding of financial services and Mortgage Insurance and proven success in developing and implementing successful sales strategies and delivering top line results.
- Proven success in managing multiple assignments/priorities and deadlines, in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
