Sales & Marketing Coordinator

**Function**:
The Sheraton Cavalier Saskatoon Hotel is a local, family-owned hotel operated as a franchised property with Marriott International. The hotel consists of 237 guest rooms, conference facilities, Carvers Steakhouse & Lounge, Scarlet Craft kitchen, as well as an indoor waterpark.

As the Sales & Marketing Coordinator you will be responsible for providing support to our Sales & Event Management team in achievement of our group room and catering revenue objectives. You will coordinate catering requirements for teams or sporting groups. The Sales & Marketing Coordinator will have the ability to quote and negotiate prices with clients as directed. This position will also be responsible for all digital marketing platforms for the Sheraton Cavalier Saskatoon Hotel. You will act as a strong support for any other related activities that would pertain to the Sales & Event Management Office.

**Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for room-only blocks for Weddings, Sport Teams, Entertainment, Tours
- Daily administrative functions and correspondence for Sales & Catering Office
- Directing of incoming calls, greeting clients, and handling basic inquiries
- Updating/editing existing marketing materials, menus and templates to specific standards
- Handle internal meetings and training sessions
- Billing for catering and group accounts ensuring statement is accurate with all appropriate back up
- Weekly monitoring of completed surveys relating to Event Satisfaction Scores and responding to opportunities in a timely manner
- Responsible for gift certificate process, production, and distribution
- Weekly review and distribution of event summary to catering consultants to ensure Event Orders (EOs) are being completed prior to deadlines
- Responsible for ensuring EO changes/revisions/new bookings are distributed to Operational Departments daily
- Responsible for the Meeting Planner point allocations and tracking
- Monitor par stocks of supplies ordering in a timely manner
- Assist the Director of Sales with marketing or social media
- Support the Sales & Catering Team with any other assignments and projects as directed

**Qualifications**
- Minimum 1-year previous front desk hotel experience, preferred but not necessary
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal
- Marketing knowledge pertaining to brand (on the job training)
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to develop working relationships
- Ability to multi-task in a busy office with varying tasks
- Possess excellent time management skills, be detail oriented, and highly organized
- Excellent organization, planning, and execution skills
- Working knowledge of Lightspeed, CITY, MarRFP is an asset
- Post-secondary education or diploma an asset

**Job Type**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $42,000 - $45,000 per year - based on qualifications
