**Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Administer and maintain Linux/Solaris servers, ensuring system security, integrity, and high availability.
- Design, develop, and implement Unix/Linux and Storage solutions, including monitoring and reporting tools.
- Oversee vulnerability remediation and perform system patching, scheduling, and tracking.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot hardware/software issues, and resolve P1/P2/P3 incident tickets within SLA.
- Manage virtualization environments, particularly **HP Simplivity**, and ensure optimal performance.
- Automate routine tasks and configuration management processes using tools like **Red Hat Satellite** and scripting.
- Provide architecture design and implementation for Storage (SAN/NAS) systems, including license tracking and compliance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Genpact, CACIB) and third-party vendors to implement changes and projects.
- Lead or support cybersecurity initiatives by deploying and managing tools such as **CyberArk**, **RSA SOC**, and **BMC TrueSight**.
- Maintain and manage the CMDB (inventory) and asset inventory for servers and storage systems.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, ensuring knowledge sharing and support for critical incidents.

**Skills**

**Required Skills**:

- Proficiency in Linux/Solaris administration and shell scripting.
- Experience with hardware platforms like **HPE** and **Oracle (SPARC)** servers.
- Expertise in SAN and NAS storage technologies.
- Knowledge of virtualization tools like **HP Simplivity**.
- Experience with network tools such as **iptables**, **LINUX IPVS**, and **Solaris IPMP**.
- Familiarity with tools such as **Red Hat Satellite**, **Centrify**, **CyberArk**, **RSA SOC**, and **BMC TrueSight**.
- Hands-on experience with patch management, vulnerability remediation, and compliance tracking.
- Knowledge of request tracking and inventory tools like **METIS** and **CMDB**.

**Preferred/Desired Skills**:

- Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices for streamlining operations.
- Familiarity with cloud-based solutions and services (e.g., AWS).
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with cross-platform support, including Windows systems.
