**Summary of this position**:
In this role, your responsibilities as a Facility Manager will include, but not be limited to, the safe and efficient operation of our McAsphalt Acheson Terminal, a key distributor of asphalt products. Ensuring that all aspects of manufacturing, administration, maintenance, and safety are being carried out in an efficient and organized way.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Leading continuous improvement initiatives for the facility including the development and implementation of work instructions, processes improvements, managing product quality, direct labour costs and improving production/manufacturing efficiency;
- Ensuring that production equipment and plant infrastructure remain in good, safe, working order;
- The transportation of raw materials and finished products, purchasing, inventory, budgeting, quality control;
- Direct Involvement in McAsphalt’s preventative maintenance programs;
- Being responsible for performance management of their employees including evaluations, training, approving payroll and progressive discipline;
- Being able to promote a culture of excellence while building and maintaining positive employee relations at the Terminal.

**Required Qualifications**
- Experience leading a team in a manufacturing environment;
- Strong background in customer service;
- Experience working with a hot oil heater and steam boiler;
- Ability to manage projects, resolve issues and motivate people;
- B Sc. in Engineering or equivalent experience with bulk liquid terminals;
- Solid computer skills;
- Valid 4th class steam ticket combined with previous experience with high pressure boilers a strong asset;
- A strong work ethic and ability to work with diverse workforce;
- A reliable method of transportation to and from work in a timely manner;
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, being responsible, resourceful and autonomous;
- Lastly, a good sense of humor will also be a great asset.
