**Job description**

**SUMMARY**:

- As the Front Store Manager, you will be responsible for increasing profitability through effective planning, budgeting, buying, inventory control, and promotional activities. You will manage customer service functions, including cash, cashiers and merchandising.

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Develop an annual strategy or business plan (financial and operational) with store Management.
- Supervise, provide leadership and develop a team spirit. Conduct regular meetings for both effective communication and employee motivation.
- Maximize store sales through exceptional product knowledge and merchandising
- Manage day-to-day operations
- Support and effectively utilize the services of the Pharmasave Operations Coordinators during regular calls and special projects
- Ensure timely and effective communication with Sales Associates & Management.
- Ensures cashier and merchandising staff comply with all store policies and operating procedures
- Train cashiers/merchandisers in job functions
- Provide on-going guidance and instruction

**LOSS PREVENTION**
- Ensures loss prevention standards are implemented, manage daily cash, and inventory

**CUSTOMER SERVICE**
- Ensures store projects a warm, friendly and service oriented image to customers ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Ensures store employees present proper image to the public in accordance with Uniform Policy and Dress Code Guidelines (clean appearance, approved uniform)
- Responds to customer inquiries regarding availability of products and services
- Resolves customer issues according to established guidelines (refunds, exchanges, etc.)

**MERCHANDISING**
- Ensures shelves are clean and organized with proper rotation
- Ensures product displays are set up and taken down as directed by Management
- Manages and monitors inventory levels as set by Management
- Puts up and takes down flyer/event POP as per Pharmasave Guidelines

**GENERAL**
- Maintains cleanliness, ensures high standard of store image is maintained
- Complies with all Health and Safety requirements: supervises employees to ensure correct work procedures are followed, communicates hazard information procedures.
- Consults employees and provides feedback to management, holds accountable any employees reporting to them.
- Performs clerical and banking duties
- Complies with all store policies and procedures
- Complies with loss prevention policies and procedures and ensures they are executed in the store
- Performs clerical and banking duties. Performs cashier duties when required
- Runs the end of day reports from the POS system

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Planning, Judgement and Decision Making**
- Independent thinking as it relates to organizing store
- Problem solving skill are essential to ensure customer satisfaction
- Plan work to maximize efficiency and minimize costs
- Purchase and stock appropriate inventory and manage inventory levels

**EXPERIENCE**
- Atleast 2 years of relevant work experience as a Supervisor
- Customer service oriented, committed to providing excellent customer service
- Computer literate, proficient with word & excel
- Be organized and be able to multi-task
- Efficient time management skills
- Familiar with retail business
- Knowledge of products and supplies
- Knowledge of Social Media such as Facebook and Instagram

**WORKING CONDITIONS**

Able to work during regular operating hours and work weekends on when necessary

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
