We are seeking a friendly and customer-oriented Server to join our team at The Shoestring Cafe in Richmond. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. **Duties**:
- Greet and seat guests in a timely and friendly manner
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently
- Deliver food and beverages to tables promptly
- Ensure guest satisfaction by providing attentive service throughout their dining experience
- Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and daily specials
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Process payments using the POS system and handle cash transactions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including setting up tables and cleaning up after guests
- Follow all food safety guidelines and maintain proper sanitation practices in the kitchen
**Skills**:
- Strong hospitality skills with a genuine desire to provide excellent customer service
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change accurately
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Experience in the food service industry preferred, but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems for order processing and payment handling
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while also being self-motivated
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
