MacLean Engineering is looking for a skilled and passionate **Sales Account Manager **to join our growing production team in **Sudbury, Ontario**. The Account Manager will partner with our customers to ensure our long-term success. The Account Manager’s role is to manage a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing clients within a designated geographical area (Northern Ontario) and actively seek new opportunities.

You will be responsible to prospect new sales opportunities, close sales, grow existing business, handle technical inquiries, and provide resolution and support for our customers.

You will play a key role in increasing income and revenue by managing and negotiating with clients, generating leads, qualifying prospects and managing sales of products and services.

**About the Position**:

- Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to your customers
- Responsible for managing several accounts and often being the face of the company to many clients.
- Building new business relationships using existing industry contacts.
- Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profit
- Develop a trusted advisor relationship with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executive sponsors. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
- Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
- Understand customers business needs for developing a good sound knowledge of the local market conditions.
- Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to exceed sales quotas
- Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
- Keep Management informed by submitting weekly reports including your schedule, accomplishments and long and short term objectives.
- Identify and grow opportunities and collaborate to ensure growth attainment
- Assist with high severity requests or issue escalations as needed
- Visit customers and actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking and social media.
- Prepare Equipment/Parts Quotes
- Generate and share competitive analysis and market intelligence. Know your competitors. Monitor your competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products and delivery schedules.
- Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers is required

- Proven work experience as an account manager or other relevant experience
