Overall Responsibility:
Responsible for day to day quality system of the Woodstock plant.
Ensure that the quality, capability and performance targets of both the product and manufacturing processes are met.
Responsible to increase product quality through the continuous improvement of process and work practices.
Maintain a competitive advantage from a quality standpoint for Woodstock s manufacturing processes.
Take a leadership role to develop and mentor AMTB’s Quality Tech’s as individuals or as a group through the execution of their work projects.
Provide and use quality and technical knowledge and skills to support other ArcelorMittal’s business processes.
Understand the long-term mission and objectives of the organization and ensure alignment of the quality department.
Accountabilities:
Fulfill the Health and Safety responsibilities as identified in the Occupational Health and Safety Program.
Fulfill the Environmental responsibilities as identified in ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
Fulfill the quality responsibilities as indicated in TS16949 Quality Management System.
Ensure the identification and containment of all non-conforming product produced by the Concord plant
Budget and maintain purchasing control for quality department
Lead and maintain the Environmental/ISO and TS16949 Systems.
Own and manage the capability and performance of the quality, facilities and equipment at Concord through upgrades, continuous improvements, new installations and maintenance.
Contribute to long term planning by proactive planning of quality facilities, processes and equipment to ensure appropriate capability and continued competitive advantage.
Ensure support of Powerlasers’ long-term strategic goals by constantly searching out improvement opportunities and develop and implement effective business unit tactics to achieve long-term plant and Corporate goals.
Lead and maintain APQP workshops.
Support launch management for new parts/processes via ECN, PCN, etc.
PPAP readiness of all components and end item FG’s
Lead root cause workshops through to corrective actions and implementation.
Conduct quality training throughout organization as required.
Other duties as required.
**Skills, Requirements, and Personal Traits**:
- Undergraduate degree (or equivalent) with a focus in quality.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a quality role within the automotive industry

- Solid understanding of the Manufacturing Process.
- Solid Technical skills including: Process control, Problem identification and solving, Quality improvement and Business Planning
- Blue print reading; GD&T

- Proven ability to be a “change-leader”
