Springbank Bottle Depot is a modern bottle depot located just outside of Calgary, by Calaway park. We are looking for a friendly, diligent individual to join our team. Having your own reliable transportation is a must as there is NO public transportation out here. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY UNLESS YOU ARE ABLE TO GET TO OUR LOCATION. We are a high-volume depot and process material quickly so attention to detail and instruction as well as excellent counting skills are essential.
We are seeking an energetic and dynamic Assistant Manager to join our team at the Bottle Depot. As an Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the other managers and liaising with them to ensure smooth operations within the depot.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in submitting Skip the Depot orders
- Help in the warehouse with packing bags and tagging
- Assist with loading trucks with the forklift
- Help with deliveries of late trucks and stay late when required
- Collaborate with other managers to ensure smooth operations
- Provide excellent customer service to our clients
- Report directly to the owner and assist in daily operations
- Continuously look for ways to improve processes and procedures
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse environment
- Experience in a managerial or supervisory role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Valid forklift certification
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $18.50 per hour
