**EXCAVATOR/DOZER OPERATORS**

Reporting to the Site Foreman, the Heavy Equipment Operators will be operating excavators, bulldozers, and/or graders on a daily basis. The Heavy Equipment Operators will be working on a rotational basis in a remote location where camp accommodations and meals will be provided. The project sites are located in Northern Manitoba and Northern Ontario and require day and night shifts.

**CORE RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES**:

- Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, and graders, to complete project tasks.
- Conduct daily pre-trip safety inspections on all assigned equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of construction equipment, identifying issues and reporting any mechanical problems.
- Report any incidents, accidents, or near misses to the Site Foreman and follow all safety protocols.
- Follow all safety regulations and ensure that safe work practices are maintained at all times on-site.
- Work effectively in both team settings and independently, contributing to project progress and efficiency.
- Assist with other tasks as directed by the Site Foreman to ensure the completion of project milestones.

**EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS**:

- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in operating heavy equipment in construction, civil earthworks, or mining environments.
- GPS and finishing experience will be considered an asset
- Ability to perform general maintenance and inspect equipment, including shoveling tracks, checking for fluid levels, and identifying wear and tear.
- Willingness to work in remote, challenging conditions and adapt to changing work environments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to self-start and take initiative on tasks
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
