Headquartered in Stoney Creek, the plants have design, mold, paint, assembly and testing capabilities. Tiercon manages 5 sites across 2 cities employing approximately 550 people throughout Canada. Tiercon is seeking knowledgeable, self-directed, experienced and hardworking individuals interested in the automotive industry as a Quality Auditor at 591 Arvin Facility.
Job Summary & Reporting Structure:
- Reporting to the Assistant Quality Manager, the Quality Auditor works with the quality team to audit and inspect production processes and parts for proper adherence to pre-assigned quality systems. They will implement containment actions to ensure parts will be produced as per customer requirements and at all times, ensuring the ongoing adherence to the policies and procedures outlined in the ISO9001:2015 AND IATF 16949 Quality System and encouraging continuous improvement wherever possible.
**Responsibilities**:
- Consistent Completion of Shift Reports
- Perform, document and communicate First Offs and In Process
- Support Overtime Needs for Production as needed
- Provide documentation of quality audits per part number/shift basis
- Communicate Quality Alerts and generate training records
- Audit and inspect production process for proper adherence to pre-assigned quality systems
- Conduct (approve/reject) 1st sample inspection on all components:
- Colour match to standard
- Fit to gauge/fixture
- Match to appearance standard
- Packaging and label checks
- Assist in production reject analysis
- Assist production supervisor with ongoing quality issues, reject rate causes and instructions to operators
- Assist with implementation, ISO9001:2015 AND IATF 16949 responsibilities as per ISO9001:2015 AND IATF 16949 Quality Manual.
- Maintenance of Quarantine Area
- Incoming inspection of supplier components
- Completion of RMA requests, RMA Completions
- Training of operators on quality standards and customer specific requirements
- Review Operator Instructions, Provide feedback on need for document updates
- Other duties as assigned
- Promote continuous improvement in all areas
- Other duties as assigned
- ISO9001:2015 AND IATF 16949 duties as required
Qualifications:
**Education Required**
Grade 12 or 2 years College in Quality / Manufacturing / Engineering related field or equivalent experience is an asset
**Core Competencies**
Analytical skills, Data driven, Attention to detail, Effective Communication, MS office
Microsoft Office Use [Excel, Outlook, Word], Demonstrated working knowledge of hand tools and gauging equipment
**Experience Required**
1 year manufacturing experience, preferably automotive
