The Labour Supervisor is responsible for managing the labour workforce and ensuring supervision of greenhouse workers. The incumbent must be highly organized and results oriented, with a strong commitment to quality and teamwork, to meet or exceed expectations of the company. Reporting to the Manager of Operations, you will play a key role to complete day-to-day greenhouse and field vegetable operations and manages seasonal business planning.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**
- Ensure crop work is completed in a timely and efficient manner
- Motivate workers while supervising them and work beside them at times
- Proficient record keeper and familiar with all laws and regulations pertaining to greenhouse production and food safety
- Ensure cleanliness and organization within designated greenhouse areas
- Supervise yearly activities such as crop clean-out and planting of new crop in areas where required
- Ensure Health & Safety programs and Food Safety Policies are followed
- Maintain constant and daily communication with other departments that require regular input from the greenhouses
- Other duties as assigned

**Physical Requirements**:

- Able to work in cold, hot & humid greenhouse environments
- Walking and standing throughout the day
- Monday - Friday; 8 am - 5 pm, Saturday 8-12 (approx.)
- Hours may fluctuate according to business need
- Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation

**Job Requirements** **Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- High school diploma, G.E.D or equivalent
- 2-3-year experience & knowledge in crop maintenance, data tracking, and quality control processes & procedures
- 2 year experience working with/managing 20-30 workers
- Good communication Skills, able to communicate in Spanish is an asset
- Working with mínimal supervision during the day, but able to communicate with supervisor as needed
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Able to work effectively & efficiently in a team environment
