Landscape Foreman - Hardscape (Residential Construction Only)

Permanent and full-time
Start date: as soon as possible
Typical hours: 7:00am to 3:00pm (may change depending on project scheduling), Monday to Friday

**Salary**: $70,000 to $78,000 annually (dependent on hardscape experience and leadership ability)
Quarterly profit sharing

**Job Duties**:

- Supervise and manage a crew of 2-4 workers to maintain productivity and efficiency
- Oversee high-quality installations while adhering to project schedules and timelines
- Track and record crew hours and project notes; submit data accurately using designated apps
- Manage daily on-site operations and proactively solve issues as they arise
- Construct various hardscape elements, including water features, pavers, retaining walls, steps, fences, and pathways
- Able to install softscape elements as required
- Able to do water features maintenance such as removing debris, replacing and repair components as needed
- Ensure water features are properly maintained for appearance and functionality
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment such as skid steers, excavators, cut-off saws, and jackhammers
- Read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications to ensure accurate execution
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites at all times
- Communicate effectively with clients, crew members, project manager and other on-site personnels
- Collaborate closely with the project manager to meet deadlines and quality standards
- Ensure all project milestones and objectives are met
- Perform snow removal duties during winter months

**Essential Skills and Requirements**:

- Minimum three years of landscape construction (hardscape) experience
- Minimum three year of Foreman experience or similar in landscape construction (hardscape)
- Minimum three years of experience working with all aspects of stone, pavers, concrete and wall systems
- Minimum two years of experience operating skid steer and excavator
- Valid BC Class 5 driver's license
- Fluent in English
- Able to operate a truck with trailer attached
- Able to read and interpret drawings and plans
- Able to delegate tasks accordingly
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs regularly
- Must have steel-toed boots and rubber/gum boots
- References from previous employers in similar field
- Able to use apps and digital tools for time tracking, notes, and communication
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions across the Lower Mainland

**Assets**:

- Proficient with OneNote, OneDrive and MS Office
- Proficient in LMN and Asana

This position is predominantly outdoors and requires individuals who are comfortable working in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and direct sunlight. The work involves extended periods of standing, walking, lifting, or performing tasks outside on a daily basis. Applicants should be prepared for a physically active role and must be able to perform job duties in an outdoor environment year-round.
