Nu Edge Construction is currently hiring a **Topman**. This role would be joining **Nu Edge Construction Ltd.’s**workforce as a valuable colleague

Details:

- **Start Date: ASAP**
- **Duration**: Seasonal Position
- **Shift**: 6 & 1 shift with long weekends off OR 11 & 3 shift. Weekends/Overtime as required.
- **Location**: Camrose, Alberta - must be willing to travel
- **Compensation**: start rate $30.00 + Hourly
- **Training: 2 Years Working the Water & Sewer Industry**

**What you do**:

- Maintain grade by doing elevation checks using a Transit Level & Shot Rod
- Cutting and beveling pipe, rigging all materials to be lowered into trenches
- Ability to accurately set up track line and line up service connections locations
- Catch basins, manholes and other associated structures
- Experience working around buried utilities
- Complete minor maintenance and checks on equipment
- Comply with Health and Safety Codes and Legislation
- Use all devices and PPE designated and provided for protection required under the OHS Code
- Fusing HDPE pipe for required water temp services 1” to 4” using a Pitbull 14 fusing machine

**What background and skills qualify you**:

- Water and Sewer: 2 Years (preferred)
- CSTS (required)
- WHIMIS (required)
- Able to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol test (job specific)

- HDPE experience an asset
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- You have a positive attitude and are eager to learn
- You are safety focused when it comes to people and equipment
- Able to perform physically demanding work that may include carrying heavy objects, and using various equipment
- Labor intensive work at times
- Must be able to work with heavy machinery
- Work as part of a team and follow direction from supervisor
