**Summary**:
Reporting to the Sr. Manager Accounting Operations, the Accounting Supervisor will oversee day-to-day accounting for Cabela's Canada conducting full cycle accounting up to the period financial statement ensuring validity in accordance with U.S. GAAP. Ensure daily and monthly reconciliations are prepared to ensure accuracy and completeness of daily transactions.
**Location**: Corporate office, 25 De Baets St., Winnipeg (hybrid position)

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare and process accrual/journal entries and analysis for month end financial statements
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations, analyzing and making necessary adjustments/corrections in general ledger accounts.
- Oversee accounting functions ensuring entries are up-to-date and accurate, reviewing and correcting daily and more complicated errors.
- Manage the accounts receivable staff including but not limited to recruitment, time and labour management, performance management, compliance, performance reviews, and safety.
- Participate in internal and external audits obtaining necessary documentation and preparing analysis.
- Prepare, reconcile and remit government remittances.
- Assist in the areas of inter-company billing, reporting, reconciliation/approving invoices and other departments.
- Other duties assigned by management.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, financial management or related accounting field
- Third-level accounting designation is preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting with at least 2-3 years experience in a supervisory role
- Full-cycle accounting is an asset
- SAP experience is an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Supervision and team leadership skills
- Ability to prioritize work and manage time well
- Analytical skills to manage large data
- Ability to adapt to changes in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
