_**Veterinary Assistant/Technician**_
We are a small animal practice located in Barrhaven looking for a positive, outgoing, and enthusiastic veterinary assistants to add to our team.
This position is Full time. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday 9AM - 6PM.
Applicants will be working in all areas of the clinic.
**Job responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
- Providing excellent customer service to our clients both in person and over the phone.
- Compassionate and competent patient care, handling, and restraint.
- Assisting in radiography and surgery as appropriate to the level of training and experience.
- Assisting DVM in appointments and to staff as needed.
- General housekeeping duties.
**Essential Skills and Qualifications**
- Administrative duties such as preparing invoices, collecting payments, and filing.
- Must be comfortable working with and handling large dogs and fractious cats.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a positive attitude
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision and as part of a team.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to handle stressful situations.
- Ability to adhere to professional ethics and confidentiality.
- _Clinic environment experience is considered an asset._
- _Experience with Avimark is considered an asset._
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
