**Position**

Habitat for Humanity Edmonton is seeking a **Business Central Finance Subject Matter Expert (SME) Contractor** to collaborate with our Finance Team and system integration partner. The SME Contractor will play a critical role in guiding the Finance Team and broader project stakeholders through the evaluation, configuration, and implementation of Business Central, ensuring Habitat Edmonton’s financial management processes are streamlined, automated, and optimized for long-term sustainability.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Collaborate with the Habitat Edmonton Finance Team to evaluate and streamline financial processes by leveraging Business Central capabilities and Microsoft AppSource solutions.
- Work with the Finance Team and Habitat Edmonton’s system integration partner to identify configuration requirements and any necessary custom developments.
- Support the Finance System Replacement (FSR) Project Team in defining workflows and formalizing requirements for:

- Credit card payment processing
- Fund Development events and projects
- Donation intake and management
- Daily and monthly sales reconciliations (ReStores operations)
- Mortgage portfolio management
- Redesign of the Chart of Accounts
- Facilitate structured workshops with Finance and operations staff to capture and validate functional requirements.
- Document requirements and workflows in SharePoint for collaboration and reference during implementation.
- Provide orientation and training to Habitat Edmonton staff to support adoption and operational continuity.
- Review and test Business Central features and requirements during implementation.
- Develop and maintain Habitat Edmonton-specific operational documentation for training, troubleshooting, and system maintenance.
- Deliver training to non-Finance staff, as directed, on new finance processes.

**Skills and Experience**
- Proven experience in the implementation and configuration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
- Demonstrated ability to configure role centers and permission sets for secure system design.
- Experience with extending platform functionality through Microsoft AppSource solutions.
- Strong documentation skills, including workflow diagrams and training materials.
- Ability to engage and collaborate effectively with finance teams, operations staff, and technical partners.

**Knowledge and Technical Expertise**
- In-depth knowledge of Business Central core modules, including:

- Financial Management, Payables/Receivables, Projects, Fixed Assets, Reporting, and Security/Permission Sets.
- Familiarity with Microsoft ecosystem integrations, including:

- M365, Microsoft Co-Pilot, and the Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI).
- Experience with third-party tools that support Business Central, such as:

- PopDocs (financial reporting) and ZetaDocs (AP automation).
