The **Associate Scientist I, Formulation Development**is responsible for execution of laboratory experiments to prepare nanoparticle formulations and assist in lab management.

This position reports to the Senior Scientist, Formulation Development and is part of the Biopharma Services team located in Vancouver, BC Canada and will be an onsite role.

**What you'll do**:

- Manufacture nanoparticle formulations and perform analysis using Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS), RiboGreen assay, ELISA, Western Blot or other routine lab assays.
- Manufacturing lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulations using NanoAssemblr platforms, independently doing all the calculations and buffers/reagents preparation needed for formulation activities
Making progress on different projects in parallel and sorting the associated activities according to the priorities.
- Prepare reagents, buffers and equipment for use in experiments.
- Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), reports and technical presentations.
- Participate in general lab management including DBS and any health and safety initiatives.

**Who you are**:

- Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant discipline with at 2+ years of laboratory experience.
- Experience in the preparation of nanoparticle formulations and aseptic handling of sterile materials such as tissue cultures, buffer solutions, etc. in biosafety cabinets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable with change and strong solutions oriented attitude

**Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: if applicable for role**
- Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 30lb

The salary range for this role is 70,000-80,000 CAD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
