**Seeking PT Personal Care Assistants (East Vancouver)**

I am an Independent quadriplegic woman in my late-20s living in East Vancouver close to Renfrew skytrain. I work full time from home and require assistance for a short bit each morning and evening to support my days.

I’m seeking an awesome assistant or two to add to my team

I need assistance with most aspects of my personal care, meal prep, household chores, occasional cleaning, light pet-related tasks, in order for me to live my life independently. Think of it this way: if you couldn’t walk and have limited arm movement: what would you need support with to set your day up for success

You’ll need to be comfortable with my male partner being in the home but not in the way, and okay with cats and dogs—as we have one small dog and two cats.

This is a great job for someone in a medical field, someone who works or lives nearby, college students, or anyone wanting to gain valuable experience and some extra work on the side of their other work or school.

Prior caregiving experience is valued but not necessary, only the ability to learn quickly, follow directions, and be comfortable helping with personal care (assistance showering, using the bathroom, etc.) is needed.

This is a part-time position, with the possibility of more shifts in the future.

I'm looking to fill weekday morning shifts (could be split between a few people), and occasional evening shifts (if interested), and casual sick/vacation coverage for other staff (flexible).

Because the care involves close personal contact with a high risk individual we do require full COVID-19 vaccinations.

**Requirements**:

- Comfortable with personal care
- Strong communication skills
- Able to follow directions
- Must be punctual and reliable (sick days must be rare, though occasionally swapping in advance shifts is okay)
- COVID-19 vaccinations

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 10 per week

**Salary**: $30.00 per hour
