We are currently looking for **E**lectro-mechanical Technicians **to join our team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity that is responsible for installation, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment that support production, packaging, and facility operations. This position includes shiftwork, on-call participation and requires independent work. We are looking for a positive, energetic person who is highly motivated and wants to work in a team environment
- This position operates on a weekly rotation of days (7am-3pm), afternoons (3pm-11pm), and nights (11pm-7am) and is eligible for the afternoon and night shift premium._
- Applicants who receive an employment offer will be required to provide proof of full vaccination upon hire as a condition of employment._
**Responsibilities**
- Assist in the development and execution of our preventative maintenance program through scheduled downtime and autonomously, on all plant equipment
- Repair, rework, or calibrate hydraulic or pneumatic assemblies or systems to meet operational specifications or tolerances
- Test performance of electrical, electronic, mechanical, or integrated systems or equipment
- Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, or technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly
- Participate in JHSC audits and corrective actions
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment failures throughout our facility
- Analyze failures and make suggestions to prevent reoccurrence
- Define and evaluate current methods for improvements
- Ensure equipment safety devices are intact through inspection and testing
- Liaison with all internal customers, Precision Management Team, contractors, and suppliers
- From a process description and/or drawing, perform modifications to improve equipment and processes and install as required
- Work in conjunction with Engineering and Automation team members
- Support capital projects as required
**Requirements/Qualifications**
- Electro-mechanical Technician Diploma
- 0-5 years relevant experience in the field of electromechanics
- Knowledge of various legislations including but not limited to: Occupational Health & Safety Act
- Strong mechanical, electrical and technical background
- Experience with PLC programming (preferred)
- Embraces change and has a continuous improvement mindset
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to quickly understand and identify issues and implement solutions
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work autonomously
- Results oriented and able to work in a team-based environment
- This role will require you to work in a 3-shift operation
