**Position Summary**:The Sales Operations Manager is responsible for managing and growing assigned territory through effective leadership of independent direct seller sales representatives. This person is the direct sales leader of multiple markets and/or Leaf Home products with the goal of making homeownership easy through a seamless sales quote process. The Sales Operations Manager will work closely with the Installation team to ensure accurate sales orders, timely product installation, customer satisfaction, and has overall accountability for sales operations including KPI performance.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Recruit, onboard, train, and retain direct sales representatives to meet established market goals.
- Lead in-depth training program for newly onboarded sales representatives and refresher training to tenured sales representatives.
- Maximize productivity and sales effectiveness through continual team training and proactive performance management.
- Provide customer and sales support by responding to customer inquiries and requests.
- Work closely with the Installation department and on-location to ensure total office productivity.
- Routinely review sales performance reports to identify areas of improvement and opportunity for assigned team/territory to ensure sales representatives meet or exceed established KPIs.
- Foster effective team communication through individual and team meetings.
- In applicable territories, will have responsibility for leading, developing, and managing, Assistant Sales Managers supporting other products and/or geographic regions.
- Perform ride-alongs provide training for new representatives and to provide coaching and feedback on sales performance for existing representatives.
- May lead local marketing and canvassing program to generate additional customer leads as necessary to meet established goals.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
**Experience and Minimum Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 5+ years of experience in a direct sales role or equivalent.
- Experience leading and managing a team of direct sales representatives in an assigned territory.
- Experience in generating performance reports from a CRM system and identifying key trends and insights.
- Ability to juggle various work activities and shift their attention from one task to another to meet the demands of different stakeholders without “dropping the ball.”
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy, team-oriented environment and have a “roll up your sleeves” and “win every day” mentality.
- Hold oneself accountable and responsible while being self-driven in accomplishing goals.
- Detail-oriented and can focus on task at hand by finding the most efficient and effective pathway to completion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels to communicate with internal and external stakeholders articulately.
- Ability to logically connect ideas, scrutinize and evaluate arguments, find inconsistencies and errors in work, solve complex problems, and engage in reflection.
- Ability to provide timely and empathetic service through all communication channels keeping peer and customer needs first.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license.
- Must have reliable transportation to/from job site to perform job duties.
