Are you interested in Computer and Digital Literacy and enjoy working with adult learners and volunteers?

Adult Learning Centre-Literacy North Halton is a community based, non-profit literacy organization providing individualized and group tutoring for adults. Our services actively support adult learners in our community to build their essential reading, writing, basic math, and digital literacy skills for employment, further education, and to increase their independence. We encourage community support and promote literacy awareness.

We are currently seeking a **Digital Literacy Program Coordinator** to work in our **Georgetown**, Ontario office.
This position is part-time, contract (renewable annually).
Monday thru Thursday, 9-4; require flexibility to work on Wednesday evenings.
Access to a vehicle, as some travel within North Halton is required.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

- Program Coordination and Delivery - small group and 1:1 tutoring; assessment, facilitation, evaluation
- Volunteer Coordination - organize and collaborate with volunteer tutors; tutor training and orientation
- Community Outreach - network and promote literacy and programs; deliver information sessions
- Reporting and Follow-up - complete all required system and paper-based learner documentation
- Resource Management - maintain tutor/learner guides; curriculum updates; training hardware needs
- Adhere to all Adult Learning Centre-Literacy North Halton policies, procedures, and standards.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

- Post-secondary education, with experience in a program coordination role
- Excellent administrative skills and experience; strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft 365 (ie. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong oral and written communication skills; experience with training materials selection/development
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment, and work remotely as required
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships; experience working with vulnerable adults
- Familiarity with the North Halton communities of Georgetown, Milton, and Acton.

Additional Knowledge and Experience:

- Experience in a non-profit organization (ie. staff or volunteer)
- Experience teaching/training adults and/or facilitating small groups
- Knowledge of Employment Ontario programs and services
- Familiarity with the Literacy and Basic Skills Program and Ontario Adult Literacy Curriculum Framework
- Experience with business processes and computer systems (ie. ERP, WMS, Accounting) an asset.
