**Job Description**:
**Position: General Help Team Lead**

**Wage: $22.26 per hour**

**Schedule: 14/7 FIFO**

**Location: Kitimat, BC**

As a member of our food services team, you will always provide the highest quality of customer service, while working for Sodexo. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below, but Sodexo may identify other responsibilities of the position.

**Accountabilities/Responsibilities**:

- Serves as a lead supervisory position in guiding and assisting in the training of less experienced team members.
- Have presence on the floor in all F&B areas. Not to be working in a single station or area for prolonged periods of time.
- Comfortable rectifying customer complaints, problem solving and decision making in the absence of a manager.
- Comfortable assisting staff with problems in a professional and courteous manner.
- Under mínimal supervision or independently performs advanced duties relating to F&B operations.
- Will have oversight of staff and assignment of tasks.
- Direct and assign duties to staff on an as need basis including assigning opening, closing and side duties.
- Able to conduct Toolbox Safety Talks.
- Tends to F&B needs ensuring that all stations are clean stocked and well maintained.
- Maintains cleanliness throughout shift.
- Takes inventory and orders supplies as needed utilizing Par sheets and checklists with support from Culinary and F&B management.
- Ensure correct ordering procedures.
- Follows all breakage and spillage procedures.
- Completes Audits of all F&B areas.
- Assists client auditors when visible. Present to answer questions and offer guidance.
- Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
- Maintain complete knowledge of equipment use and ensuring constant maintenance and upkeep of items.
- Always maintain positive internal and external guests’ relations.
- Takes pride in personal appearance and follows site grooming guidelines and dress code.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, maintenance, and organization of all F&B work areas.
- Be familiar with all the site services/features and respond to guest inquiries accurately.
- Maintain complete knowledge of sections and table numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, proper table set-up and dress code of the Dining Halls.
- Check quality and amount of all stock and supplies.
- Set up workstations. Ensure a sufficient supply of all products and service ware for service.
- Check cleanliness and condition of all stations and service areas; rectify any deficiencies.
- Proactive in prevention of complaints and ensuring guests satisfaction in all areas. If areas need help, assist, and inform manager.
- Ensure proper maintenance of equipment and stations.
- Properly breakdown and store all reusable goods.
- Clean all equipment. Restock items for next service.
- Perform all other reasonable job-related duties.
- Attends training programs (classroom and virtual) as designated.
- Any additional duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum 1-year supervisory experience in a camp setting.
- Experience directing staff in a courteous and professional manner.
- Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with mínimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent data.
- Must be able to exert physical effort in transporting goods using a cart or other equipment.
- Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas, reach up and down, remain stationary at times throughout work periods, and satisfactorily communicate with guests and co-workers to their understanding.
- Must have good attendance record.
- Must have good disciplinary record.
- Must be physically fit and capable of lifting heavy items up to 50lbs.
