**CONTROLLER - FROZEN FOOD MANUFACTURER (MONTREAL)**

Manufacturer and distributor of premium branded and private label frozen food products sold throughout Canada and the US.

**Controller**

Reporting to the Vice-President of Finance, the Controller will lead the financial activities of a high growth “better-for-you” frozen food manufacturing organization. Working as an integral member of the Management Team, the Controller’s role will be both strategic and hands-on. The Controller will manage a team of three (3) direct reports and support future growth opportunities for the business. He/She should have a sound understanding of financial accounting, manufacturing and cost accounting. Strong analytical skills and experience implementing policies and procedures are required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure and maintain the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting.
- Implement accounting processes and policies to maintain accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Participate in and lead the annual budgeting process alongside the Vice-President of Finance.
- Lead the annual audit process alongside the Vice-President of Finance. with the assistance of key team members.
- Conduct periodic reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
- Lead product costing and inventory cost management processes.
- Perform periodic market, pricing and competitive landscape analysis and provide takeaways and recommendations to the Management Team.
- Day-to-day management and mentoring of team members
- Contribute to strategic and long-term business plans for the organization.

**Qualifications**:

- Financial designation (CPA).
- Minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar role.
- Knowledge of current financial and accounting reporting standards.
- Experience using Sage or other ERP systems.
- Proficiency in French and English.
- Proven leadership and management skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

- 8 hour shift
