**Position Summary**:
ErinoakKids Autism Services is currently seeking an enthusiastic individual to fill the position of Social Worker for OAP Urgent Response Services (URS). The URS is a program designed to provide time-limited service and support for children and youth with a diagnosis of ASD, to respond rapidly to a specific need, and reduce risk of further harm.

Reporting to the Clinical Operations Manager (COM), this position will be responsible for providing a broad range of consultative and direct services to clients and their families, as well as support staff with various aspects of service provision in both streams.

**Major Responsibilities**:

- Providing individual and family counseling in conjunction with the clients’ behavioural intervention services
- Assisting in the development of needs based services for youth
- Facilitating parent groups and youth groups
- Consulting to members of child’s treatment team, especially in dealing with mental health concerns, sexuality, suicidal attempts/ideation, vocational training, transition to adult services, etc.
- Supporting members of child’s treatment team to have a holistic determination of child and his/her family situation, by formally and informally assessing medical, psychological, emotional and social information
- Supporting treatment team to access community resources for clients
- Initiating community outreach endeavors
- Supporting treatment team to address any crisis situations that may arise in the course of service provision

**Qualifications**:

- M.S.W with O.C.S.W.S.S.W. certification
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a pediatric clinical setting with focus on the adolescent age group
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary care teams
- Demonstrated skill in group work and the ability to do formal presentations
- Previous employment in the field of mental health is preferred
- Training and certification in Cognitive Behavior Therapy is an asset
- Training in Psychotherapy is an asset
- Bilingualism in French and English is an asset
- Current CPI training is an asset
- A valid driver’s license is required as well as access to a vehicle
