- **Auberge Transition**_ is a feminist organization whose primary mandate is to offer shelter, information, counselling and follow-up services to women who are currently experiencing or have experienced any form of intimate partner violence. Auberge Transition serves women with or without children, of all cultures and backgrounds.

**Director of Social Services & Programs**

**JOB SUMMARY**

The Director of Social Services & Programs is responsible for the development, management, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the social service departments at Auberge Transition, as well as to ensure quality service delivery. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Director of Social Services & Programs oversees the daily operations and management of the clinical side of the organization, which includes the supervision and performance evaluation of professional staff.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Onboard, train and develop a team of professionals who are responsible for the implementation and delivery of client centered services.
- Provide supervision, performance management and ongoing support to professional staff connected to the Immigration, Case Management, Volunteer, Mental Health, Intake, Services, and programs.
- Responsible for the evaluation, modification and restructuring of existing services and programs to ensure best practices and that community needs are met within the context of the organization’s mandate.
- Ensure the implementation of processes to maximize the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of service delivery.
- Monitor client satisfaction and the impact of service delivery, and make changes, as necessary.
- Provide direction to determine departmental objectives and to sustain and grow services in alignment with the organization’s strategic plan.
- Establish partnerships with other community, public organizations, and stakeholders.
- Analyze legislations, regulations, and professional changes to determine the impact on the organization’s services.
- Represent the organization to the media and governmental institutions, in relation to social services.
- Contribute to the creation of organizational and departmental policies related to social services and clinical staff.

**REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES**
- Master of Social Work degree with a minimum of 5 years of direct clinical experience and 5 years of management experience, including supervision of professional staff
- Extensive knowledge of clinical systems and Health and Social Services networks in Quebec
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with an ability to establish, interact and maintain relationships with administrative and professional staff, and management.
- High level of discretion, diplomacy, integrity, and sensitivity to confidentiality
- Experience in managing a unionized environment.
- Staff scheduling
- Experience in IPV a definite asset.
- Experience in dealing with vulnerable populations is essential.
- Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluently bilingual with the ability to compose and edit correspondences, provide, interpret, and present detailed information, and deal with complex situations in both French and English.
- Solid experience and awareness of the needs of working in very marginalized communities and with marginalized populations.
- Solid experience working with individuals with various needs, and from various diverse backgrounds, socio-economic status, cultures, and their family systems.
- Skills and experience in program development
- Significant knowledge and experience working with a range of clients presenting with substance use and concurrent disorders.
- Solid experience and awareness of the needs of working in very marginalized communities and with marginalized populations.
- Knowledge and understanding of the role of professional staff in a community setting to ensure clinical practice meets professional standards and ethics.
- Participation and provision of leadership i.e.. exposure to leading other people in various settings, strong communication skills, ability to motivate others, dedication to team & organizational goals, ability to inspire people, good team builder.
- Coordination of team activities in the area of client service delivery and public education
- Promotion of inclusivity across the various levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated ability to work with and/or participate in, other community initiatives.
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills

**Salary**: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
