We are on the City of Calgary Master Indemnified Contractor list and hold a SECOR Certification from the Alberta Construction Safety Association. We have been in business for 22 years and we have a loyal following of repeat clients. We are currently seeking a **Pipe Layer Helper/Labourer **to start immediately. The pride this person takes in their work will be reflected as part of the continuing success of the company. Precision Underground Services supports the success of the position and of the company through various incentives. We offer industry standard wages and extended health benefits.
- Your responsibilities will include, but not necessarily be limited to:_
- Setting up of traffic barricades and relevant fencing
- Help keep site clean and free of debris and materials
- Provide support to the Pipe Layer
- Perform hand signals and/or flag control as necessary
- Help maintain a safe work site and adhere to safe work policies and safe job procedures
- Ensure pipes are cut to proper specifications
- Ensure proper bedding in place prior to backfilling
- Other duties as assigned, including attending tool box meetings
- Personal Characteristics:_
- Experience working as part of a team installing water and sanitary lines
- Able and willing to work as part of a team
- Strong work ethic which allows you to take pride in doing a job efficiently and effectively
- Willing to take responsibility for performing the tasks required for the job
- Work well under pressure and time constraints
- Ability to work long hours with some weekends and overtime
- Knowledge of hand signals and a strong communication skill set
- Experience: _
- 1 year underground water and sewer installation (Preferred although training will be provided)
- Experience in the construction industry
- License: _
Class 5 Drivers License (required)

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44 per week
