**Position Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Accounts Receivable (AR)**:

- Prepare, review, and send invoices to customers.
- Post payments to customer accounts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Monitor customer accounts for delayed payments and follow up with customers on outstanding balances.
- Communicate delinquent / short payments to relevant internal parties.
- On a monthly basis, reconcile AR ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Generate AR aging reports.
- **Accounts Payable (AP)**:

- Accurately post invoices in the accounting system.Solicit internal approval of invoices.
- Match invoices with purchase orders and receipts.
- Maintain a list of recurring invoices for month end accrual purposes.
- Process employee expense reports.
- Solicit WIP statements from service firms on a monthly basis.
- Prepare payment runs, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
- Prepare AP aging reports for management.
- On a monthly basis, reconcile AP ledger against vendor statements to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Propose accrual entries for review / posting by CFO as part of the month end close process.
- Support the finance team with audits and other compliance-related activities.
- Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives within the finance department

**Qualifications**:

- Post secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets.
- Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in the fintech industry is a plus.
- Fluency in French (speaking and writing) is a plus.

This salary range for this position is $50,000.00 CAD - $65,000.00 CAD.
