**Position Title** Residential Care Worker (RCW)

**Responsible to** The House Manager

**Qualifications**

Residential Care Workers Program or the completion of the following Core Competencies required by the Department of Community Services. Minimum of Grade 12

1) Fire and Life Safety

2) Medication Awareness

3) Standard First Aid and CPR

4) Non Violent Crisis Intervention

5) Health & Personal Care

6)IPP

7)Non-Aversive Behaviour

We also require a:
8) Food Handlers Course

9) W.H.M.I.S.

10) Criminal Check

11) Proof of Covid 19 vaccine

Previous experience in working with post-mentally disabled Residents and medication management. Good physical and mental health as well as oral and written communication.

Must be able to work any of the three daily scheduled shifts. Inherent with all positions is the expectation that employees are team employees, therefore co-operative and helpful with the workload and supporting each other by word and attitude.

**Responsibilities**

Become familiar and maintain familiarity of Resident’s files and Resident conditions, and contribute to the dialogue for care.

May be required to perform personal care as per above training. Full or assist with bathing.

Become knowledgeable with the Emergency Measures Plan and maintain current knowledge of emergency procedures and participate in drills, which are done at every staff meeting (six times a year).

Become knowledgeable and familiar with all the basic routine duties and scheduling for this position in each facility.

Maturity and ability to work independently and without supervision.

Must come in to work 10 minutes prior to commencement of shift to exchange up-to-date information regarding Residents and facility status.

Check monthly schedule on daily basis.

Maintain accurate time sheets.

Will be required to perform kitchen duties

Will be required to orientate employees of the complete scope of shift.

Subject to additional duties as house and Residents needs change

Subject to call back.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $22.12-$26.22 per hour
