**Who We Are**:
The Health Sciences North Volunteer Association (HSNVA) operates two businesses within the walls of Health Sciences North (HSN) in order to raise funds to support health care initiatives. Governed by our board of directors, and staffed mainly by volunteers, these operations offer unique services to patrons of the hospital.

**Position Overview**:
The Lottery Kiosk Clerk manages lottery transactions, ensuring accurate ticket sales and payouts. Responsibilities include maintaining lottery equipment, providing customer service, and adhering to gaming regulations. Expertise in cash handling and strong numeracy skills are essential.

**Responsibilities**:

- Sell lottery tickets to customers in a courteous and efficient manner
- Provide information to customers regarding lottery rules, prizes, and regulations
- Verify winning tickets and pay out prizes to customers
- Maintain accurate records of ticket sales, inventory, and cash transactions
- Ensure that the lottery terminal is functioning properly and report any malfunctions to the appropriate authority
- Keep the lottery area clean and organized, including stocking displays and removing trash
- Assist customers with filling out lottery play slips and selecting numbers

**Requirements**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent customer service skills
- Basic math skills
- Ability to handle cash and operate a cash register
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills

HSNVA operates its businesses within Health Sciences North (HSN) and must comply with the Hospital's COVID-19 Vaccination Surveillance Program. Full vaccination for COVID-19 is required for all employees. Accordingly, you will be required to provide proof of full vaccination. There is a new vaccine that requires only one dose to be fully vaccinated (the XBB vaccine). Exceptions may be made for individuals who are unable to receive a COVID-19 vaccine for legislative protected reasons.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $17.20 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week
