As a regulated professional listed with The College of Pharmacists of Manitoba you'll be an essential part of our pharmacy team that's committed to providing exceptional patient-centered care and exceeding patients' expectations. **We are looking for a friendly, knowledgeable, and professional** individual to conduct the authorized duties of a Pharmacy Technician.

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the pharmacy staff in providing excellent patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. **This position is ideal for individuals with a strong interest in patient care.**

**Overview**:
In a pharmacy, a pharmacy technician may perform the following tasks under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist:

- review the information in a prescription for compliance with federal and provincial law;
- dispense a drug, if a licensed pharmacist has approved filling the prescription and the standards of practice related to a pharmacist’s responsibility to counsel the patient are met;
- identify drug-related problems that require referral to a pharmacist;
- give instructions to a person about how to operate a medical device, but not an explanation involving the interpretation of the results or value of the device;
- ask a practitioner and receive his or her instructions as to whether an existing prescription can be refilled as previously prescribed and without any change to the prescription; and
- in approved sites, perform the final check of the medication dispensed by another pharmacy technician or pharmacy assistant providing the College has approved the technician final check process in place at the pharmacy; and
- other duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- Successful completion of a CCAPP Accredited Pharmacy Technician Program;
- Previous experience working in a pharmacy setting is highly desirable;
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with common medications;
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills;
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy;
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Proficient computer skills, including experience using Kroll is a huge asset

(Individuals with a Pharmacy Assistant Program and/or 5+ years of work experience in the field may be considered.)
