Lead Product Consultant

**Responsibilities**:
Job Purpose
A Product Consultant is to be responsible for product management, business management and analysis. The role includes improving and introducing of new services/features and product-related processes. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, managing, and monitoring the business requirements, assessments and process improvement identified initiatives. The Product Consultant will work directly with technical, sales, marketing and customers to execute on the product strategy.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage the development of existing & new products, solutions and enhancements
- Ensure that the product is relevant and generate target revenue
**Responsibilities**:
- Assist Product Manager to plan and develop product throughout the product lifecycle, including gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision.
- Works closely under the supervision of Product Manager to manage the overall business requirements for the to-be landscape.
- Participate in requirement gathering sessions including workshops with customers (internal or external) and document “as-is” business process and rules into the user story backlog.
- Document accurately “to-be” business requirements to mitigate against ambiguities.
- Validate viability of “to-be” business process and rules.
- Help assess/design to-be business requirements for viability and fit.
- Contribute in change impact analysis and considerations.
- Assist Product Manager to analyse and prepare management reports, i.e.: product performance vs. competitors and overall markets’ performance.
- Assist Product Manager to conduct competitive scan, financial analysis and recommendation of product pricing strategies to maintain competitiveness in the market.
- Monitor and analyse product performance versus key competitors. Trigger planning sessions, strategies and actions to counter threats and concerns.
- Keep abreast of international developments relating to trade facilitation.
Qualifications Required/Recommended
- At least 2-3 years’ of experience project/product development.
- Knowledge in Canada/US Customs, supply chain management, global trade and logistics industry a plus
- Good understanding in SDLC, Data communication method, programming language a plus
- Knowledge of Wireframing/prototyping tools, sequence diagrams, state diagrams, class and object diagrams
- Organized, independent, resourceful and diligent
- Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of client personnel and team members
- Demonstrated skill in relationship building
- Ability to present our products and brand effectively
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
- Competitive and driven with a strong work ethic and goal oriented
- Fast and accurate under tight deadlines
- Extensive problem solving and decision-making skills
- Must enjoy spending time in the field to understand problems and find innovative solutions for the client.

**Salary**: $4,500.00-$7,500.00 per month
