Overall Accountability
Effectively manage the total customer relationship within your territory while executing the business sales strategy - focused on education, relationships, and value based selling in order to achieve targets. Work collaboratively with our customers while focusing on maximizing Big Country Pet Co. brands at store level. Responsible for in-store execution of assigned priorities including merchandising, promotions, and sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively prospect and grow territory - meeting or exceeding revenue targets, while managing spend within budget.
- Work to understand customer needs and provides workable solutions with store partners.
- Understand and strive to achieve BCPC store standards through maximizing distribution, facings, shelf location and incremental displays and freezers.
- Act as company steward in way of Brand Ambassador and BCPC portfolio expert - taking a keen interest in learning the portfolio, product recipes, attending product education sessions, etc.
- Leverage HubSpot (CRM) and PowerBI to build territory weekly / monthly plan and prep for sales meetings and calls.
- Ensure all customer correspondence is recorded in HubSpot on a timely and consistent basis.
- Build multi-level working relationships and influence at store level.
- Provide product training and education at store level.
- Develop annual promotion plans for Accounts that are consistent with overall sales objectives, strategies and within your territory trade budget.
- Attend Trade Shows as required (this to include out of Province, and weekend travel)
- Take part in ensuring and maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Qualifications & Experience
- Post Secondary education in business, or related field
- 5+ years' experience in field sales, preferably in CPG
- Pet food industry an asset, passion for pet a must.
- Proven track record of growing a territory, and managing positive customer relationships.
- Strong analytical abilities - proven experience in having the ability to story tell through data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM, etc. - comfortable with technology.
- Strong organizational and sales fundamentals
- Must hold a valid passport, driver's license, and car insurance.
