**Position**:Selector - General Labourer

**Job Overview**:
This position achieves the Genuine Merchant Strategy by being responsible for picking and palletizing store orders and getting them ready for shipping n a manner that meets company standards for accuracy, quality, safety, security, and productivity.

**Accountabilities**:
**Order Picking**
- Efficiently pick store orders for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is picked.
- Palletize picked product on correct pallet, maintaining product quality
- Accurately tag individual store pallets

**Absence Management**
- Manages leave of absence program, coordinating with Third-Party leave administrators/insurers, Payroll, Team Members, HR partners, and managers/leaders
- SME for Third-Party vendor and HR partners, as required on return-to-work accommodations or restrictions
- Educates HR Partners, managers/leaders & Team Members with respect to the leave of absence program and processes for Medical LOA, STD and LTD

**Quality**
- Ensure outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage.
- Report quality/quantity issues to Supervisor or Lead Hand upon discovery

**Customer Service**
- Consistently demonstrates Genuine Merchant Customer Service and holds himself/herself and team members accountable for the following:

- Ensures positive customer service relations with a variety of internal customers such as: Managers, Supervisors, Distribution Centre Team Members

**Polices and Standard Operating Procedures**
- Follow all policies and procedures including:

- Standard Operating Procedures
- Health and Safety
- Food Safety
- Loss Prevention
- Human Resource Policies

**Knowledge, Skills & Competencies**:

- 1-2 years in a Distribution Center envinronment is an asset
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Excellent organization, planning, and communication skill
- Innovative problem solving and sound decision making abilities
- Acts with a sense of urgency and self-direction within established guidelines
- Experience in the retail food industry is highly desirable
- Keen commitment for providing superior customer service

**Working Conditions**:

- Work is performed in person in a standard warehouse environment with participation in meetings at the office.
- Travel to various warehouse locations as required
- Ability to work a variety of shifts including - evenings, weekends and holidays as business needs require
- Working at heights
