The position of a Catalyst Technician is responsible for the day-to-day activities performed in client facilities both inert and non-inert confined space entry atmosphere. A Catalyst Technician will use proprietary equipment to load and unload industrial reactors and make entry to confined spaces and inert confined spaces. A Catalyst Technician performs work toward its projects’ goal of Safety, Quality, Productivity and Service. A Tech A will perform work as required to maximize the quality of the Company while maintaining the specified expectations of the client and ensure safe working environment while performing work and will conduct all Company business in accordance with Company policies and procedures and maintain professionalism throughout all business dealings, both internally and externally.

This position is for 60 temporary employees from March 1 to Nov 30, 2025

**Responsibilities**:
**Essential Functions**

1. Perform loading/unloading procedures, maintenance, and repairs to the reactor vessels.
2. Work in immediately dangerous to life and health (IDLH) confined space entry/claustrophobic conditions.
3. Ensure safe working conditions while performing work such as, but not limited to opening man way trays, vacuuming catalyst, cleaning repo, loading catalyst, and closing man way trays.
4. Team member for all rescue operations.
5. Load catalyst bed.
6. Monitor the surrounding and the dangers associated with entering confined spaces.
7. Check the depths and outages required while loading tubular vessels.
8. Assist with the cleaning and correct loading of equipment and trailers.
9. Operate the essential equipment to descend in vessels and operate retrieval devices.
10. Ensure safe working environment while performing work in the client’s facilities.
11. Operate and maintain company owned and rented equipment.
12. Report any unusual findings immediately to the Supervisor or Superintendent.
13. Maintain communication with Supervisor while performing tasks.
14. Support the Supervisor and Superintendent by assisting in the development of customer expectations and timelines.
15. Ensure the overall safety of assigned subordinates and provide a safe work environment for such personnel.
16. Assist in the selection and development of field personnel as requested.
17. Complete and pass all the Company Inert Entry Assessment and Hands-on testing.
18. Follow all Company Safety, Quality Control/ Quality Assurance procedures and OSHA guidelines.
19. Maintain poise and focus under time constraint and adverse conditions.
20. Attend and complete trainings as required by the Company and client.
21. Pass all required drug/alcohol testing and background requirements.
22. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility
This position will have some supervisory responsibilities.

**Work Environment**
This job operates in a petrochechemical / refinery environment and confined/ claustrophobic conditions. Exposure to cold working conditions during winter months and hot working conditions during the summer months. Exposure to noise, workers must wear protecting hearing equipment or frequently shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level. In an emergency situation, exposure to hazardous chemicals may occur and the use of a respirator is required. All employees will be required to be fit tested for the various respirators used as well as the ability to successfully pass a pulmonary function test (PFT).

**Physical Demands**
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position of a Tech A can be extremely physical at times. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required, and for long periods of time to bend, stoop, walk, climb, squat, reach, kneel, push/pull, stand, sit, hand strength and dexterity. A Tech A will frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift more than 51 pounds. Must be able to work in confined spaces. Must be able to work at heights and be able to climb ladders and stairways and work off platforms. Move about on hands and feet, bending body downward and forward bending leg and spine
