Construction Department

The Construction team is responsible for the entire process flow of delivering the physical data centers from shovel ready state through commissioning, working with Sales, Operations, and management along the way. Construction implements and executes upon the work product developed by the Development & Engineering (D&E) team. The team also manages Vantage’s build partners to success through technical feedback and review, and actively participating in review of schedule and budget. Many times, a role like this at other companies is purely oversight. One thing that distinguishes Vantage is that our construction teams are given the responsibility and authority to directly drive the process. When compared to external resources, our internal team can ensure the key stakeholders are engaged in the decision-making process to align long-term operational sustainability with value engineering and cost metrics to deliver products aligned with corporate goals. Position Description

Vantage is seeking a results-oriented Project Manager who is a team player and eager to learn. In this role, the Project Manager will support ongoing construction projects and assist other project managers across a variety of initiatives. The role involves meeting with internal and external stakeholders to review plans, coordinating with teams and departments on timelines, budgets, EHS compliance, and scope of work, and monitoring project inputs and outputs to ensure milestones are met. The Project Manager will collaborate closely with the construction team to identify risks and implement effective mitigation strategies, serving as a unifier to align and motivate stakeholders toward project goals. Daily responsibilities include managing submittal approvals, RFI processing, change orders, meeting coordination, punch lists, and project observation reports, as well as participating in commissioning and overseeing the transition of close-out documentation to operations. Regular collaboration with internal resources and design-build contractors is essential to ensure smooth project execution.

Duties- Prepare agenda and documents for weekly DEC meetings and drive action items to closure- Support construction team, superintendent, and senior construction managers in implementation of project specifications- Translate job requirements to execution in the field- Prioritize input required from internal stakeholders and drive to meet scheduled timelines- Daily communications with General contractor- Daily site walks to assess progression and design compliance- Paid particular attention to health and safety on construction site and intervene when needed- Facilitate page-turn reviews and capture comments with action items for internal team- Collaborate with SPM and Director to Manage design team/contractors throughout each project- Work closely with Operations to coordinate work with MOP log and track required approvals- Awareness of the importance of mission-critical facility operation- Project Commissioning Support- Additional duties as assigned from time to time by Management.

Job Requirements- Bachelor of Science in Construction Management, or similar field, or equivalent experience- 2 to 5 years in project coordination or equivalent experience.- Data Center experience is an asset- Experience in CSA (civil, structural, architectural) and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) construction management is a strong preference- Expected travel is less than 5%, but may grow and evolve over time- Open to relocate or travel on others North America project- Bilingual (French/English)
