**Onsite work location**

The **Area Branch Manager** carries full P&L responsibility and requires balanced presence across both branches. The incumbent is expected to allocate time equally or as business needs dictate. Office space will be provided in both locations, located at **1023 Herring Gull Way, Parksville, BC V9P 2W8**, and **5286 Polkey Road, Duncan, B.C. V9L 6W3**

**Why this role matters**

The **Area Branch Manager** is responsible for managing and overseeing the Parksville and Duncan branches in BC. The Area Manager leads all branch activities, including staffing, delegation, and ensuring operational and sales efficiency. This role works closely with branch, corporate, district, and technical managers to meet strategic goals and performance targets, including gross profit, expenses, and profit before tax. Area Managers at EBH are entrepreneurial leaders who value collaboration, teamwork, and initiative. You will mentor teams, drive results, and report directly to the District Manager.

**What to expect in the role**
- ** Branch Operations & Leadership**
You’ll oversee daily branch functions to ensure efficiency, productivity, and quality control. This includes supervising staff, guiding inventory and stock decisions, supporting facility upgrades, and aligning branch initiatives with company goals. You’ll play a key role in succession planning, employee development, and performance management.
- ** Sales & Customer Management**
You’ll coach and support the sales team on strategy, pricing, and project execution while strengthening customer relationships and loyalty. You’ll assist in closing major deals, resolving escalated issues, and leading account management efforts. Setting SMART goals and monitoring KPIs will be central to your leadership. You will be responsible to maintain your own dedicated account base, and develop a house account strategy within the Parksville and Duncan branch locations.
- ** Supplier & Community Relations**
You’ll manage key supplier relationships, arrange product training, and work with partners to deliver customer-focused solutions. You’ll also support community involvement initiatives and help drive local giving-back programs.
- ** Reporting & Financial Oversight**
You’ll analyze sales reports, budgets, and branch KPIs to track performance and identify growth opportunities. You’ll ensure financial accountability and provide strategic insights to senior leadership.
- ** Quality & Continuous Improvement**
You’ll champion quality standards, implement corrective actions, and continuously look for ways to enhance branch performance, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 7-10+ years of experience in a similar industry
- 5+ years of experience in a management role that entails running the business for a multi-million-dollar organization
- 3+ years of relevant sales experience (outside sales/business development experience)
- Experience in the electrical industry is a strong asset
- Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in MS Office (Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint), including a high level of proficiency with Excel, with the ability to learn new software
- Strong interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lead, motivate and coach direct reports
- Innovation and problem-solving skills that include the ability to develop and propose the best solutions for
