**Responsibilities**:

- Install pipe for storm, water, sanitary main, Hydro, Telus, and Shaw
- Grade trenches and culverts, positions pipe, seals joints
- Use instruments including lasers, grade rods and transit levels
- Other labour duties as assigned

**Requirements**:

- Two (2) years proven civil pipelayer experience for a privately held or family-owned general contracting business is preferred
- Must be legally eligible to work for any employer in Canada
- Install, repair, and maintain pipelines for water, sewage, and other utilities.
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, and bucket trucks to assist in pipeline installation.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete tasks.
- Perform rigging operations as needed for lifting and moving materials.
- Conduct trenching and excavation work while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion.
- Maintain equipment in good working condition through regular inspections and basic repairs.
- Follow all local codes and regulations regarding pipeline installation.

**Requirements**:

- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in heavy equipment operation.
- Proficiency in operating excavators, backhoes, and bucket trucks.
- Experience with welding techniques is desirable.
- Strong understanding of rigging principles and practices.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
