Donald’s Fine Foods is a family-owned business and has operated for over 30 years. We are a specialty meat manufacturer spanning six plants in British Columbia, Alberta, and Saskatchewan.

**Brief Job Description**

A Sanitation worker is responsible for ensuring food processing equipment and work areas are sanitized and cleaned as per company and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency’s requirements. Sanitation work will be carried out efficiently, while having the highest priority on safety.

**Responsibilities**
- Cleaning, sanitizing plant facilities and equipment to ensure cleanliness and food safety compliance
- Ensure equipment passes pre-operating inspections and re-clean as needed.
- Clean equipment in such a manner as to prevent personal injury, equipment damage and production downtime.
- Maintain cleanliness of hallways, lunchrooms, locker rooms, washrooms and offices
- Sweep, Mop, Wax hallways, floors and stairs
- Laundry Room Duties as assigned
- Collect and disposing of trash and recyclable materials
- Cleaning supply inventory ordering requests as required
- Sign off on completed sanitized areas daily
- Wear required PPE as required for duties being performed
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:The functional skills required for this posting are those skills necessary to perform the job listed below:

- 1-2 years experience in a sanitation or janitorial role.
- WHMIS Certification and experience working with chemicals.
- Must have basic working English (verbal).
- Consistent commitment to working safely.
- Demonstrated ability to react to situations with a strong sense of urgency using a creative and logical approach to resolution.
- Ability to work in a cold environment and tolerate standing for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in a team-based environment.

Pay: $18.52 per hour
